Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 (Tenerife)

Hello Friends,

The next release of Dynamics NAV, code named "Tenerife" will build in Azure-based cognitive services like the ability to identify images in context of the related entities. For example, a photo of an item can be analyzed to assess the category it would best fit into. Or a photo of an employee could be analyzed to determine the gender and age. Microsoft also demonstrated these capabilities in the context of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Business edition (D365FOB) at Inspire.

Tenerife
Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and is located in the Atlantic Ocean about 300 km from the coast of Africa. With day temperatures between 20° and 25° all year round, the island is probably best known by most as an obvious holiday destination.

Code Name for NAV 2018
Besides being a holiday paradise off the coast of Africa, Tenerife is now also the code name for the next version of Dynamics NAV, NAV 2018, that are expected to be launched later this year.

Everything points to the fact that Microsoft follows their release schedule for Dynamics NAV and would therefore in all probability release a new version of Navision in the fall of 2017.

Microsoft launches new tools to develop customizations and apps for Dynamics NAV. The tools, which comes in two versions, is already available in test versions.
